Reading Skills volunteers

Join Our Team: Volunteers, Partnerships & Collaborations

We work with educators, parents, and professionals to raise awareness and promote the utilization of our program, ensuring that those who could benefit from RBTL receive the support they need. Pursuing these goals, RBTL aims to transform the lives of individuals with poor jump eye movements, empower them to unlock their full potential, and foster a society where reading becomes a joyous and fulfilling experience for all.

Ways YOU Can Help Today

Make a Monetary Donation

Donations are used to support program materials like handouts, technology expenses, and event fees. There are no paid administrators; all donations go directly towards supporting outreach efforts.

Make an In-kind Donation

We welcome in-kind gifts, such as paper, dry erase pens, erasers, printing materials, and various items necessary for outreach. These gifts will greatly contribute to meeting our program goals.

Volunteer Time & Talents

Volunteers are crucial in helping us spread the word, conduct one-on-one screenings, and provide online screenings and remediation support. Their support is vital to our mission.

Lauren Kendryna • 1st Grade Teacher

Thank you again to Janyce Rossall, the Lions Club, and all of the generous volunteers for their commitment and dedication to helping our first grade students at Echo Loder Elementary School. I sincerely believe that the work that the Lions Club did with my students helped improve their oral reading fluency. Thank you again for your dedication and commitment. We look forward to working with you in the next school year!

Outreach Materials for Volunteers & Partners

  • RBTL Presentation Packet

Created for those educating others about Read Between the Lions. Includes program summary, testimonials, and demonstration materials.

  • RBTL Marketing Packet

Printable business cards and bookmarks volunteers can use to share the magic of Read Between the Lions with others.

  • Infographic Packet

Some of us are visual learners. These simple handouts will help clarify visual tracking, jump eye movements, and how we learn and read.

Screening Volunteers Needed!

Read Between the Lions relies on volunteers for face-to-face screenings. Training is simple, with provided tools for quick and free access, so you can start right away. We offer practice sessions via Jitsi to boost volunteers' understanding and confidence in assisting people with improving their reading skills and gaining free access to support. Preschools, charter schools, Boys and Girls Clubs, and youth sports venues are less policy-driven than school districts and ideal for meeting early detection objectives. To support volunteers, a guide for educating and requesting screenings is available upon request.
