USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forum • Des Moines, Iowa

Team members Liz Steves (California), Janyce Rossall (Nevada), and Bob and Sue Hohendorf (Michigan) traveled to Des Moines for the USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forum.

In 2018, we received an International President's Award for Leadership for implementing Read Between the Lions as a Centennial Community Legacy Project. We had the incredible opportunity to make a 30-minute stage presentation at this important international Leadership forum (thanks to Lion Breanne Moore from Payson Lions Club, Utah). We presented to our largest presentation audience ever....over 30 folks!!  Dr. Meier was going to participate online, but we couldn't make the connection!

We had a demonstration and information table for three days and shared our program with Lions and LEOs from all over the United States and several foreign countries. We had FUN and made many great connections.  It was too bad that COVID prevented many of the folks from Canada from attending this event.

At the airport on the way home, Janyce had breakfast with International President Douglas Alexander....well, sort of!  IP Alexander was at the next table, so she took the opportunity to introduce herself, talk about the importance of the program, and wish him a safe trip home. His breakfast didn't even get cold!
