Read Between the Lions depends on volunteers for screening people face-to-face. As mentioned in the Adopt and Integrate as a Club Service Project section on this site, training is easy to understand and tools are provided for quick, free access so you can get started. Practice sessions can be requested by Zoom to help volunteers understand the scope and gain confidence to succeed in helping people gain free access to helping them improve their lives through improved reading skills.
Preschools, charter schools, and youth based venues such as Boys and Girls Clubs or youth sports are less policy driven than school districts and are a great place to help meet project objectives for early detection.
Support: A guide to educate, inform, and request volunteer screenings is available upon request. Communicating who Lions are and our desire to help is a great introduction to form relationships.
Our team is ready, set, go for California MD4Con February 25-27th, 2022. We've learned that hundreds of Lions are registered to attend. We could use hands in service to help staff our outreach table. Please contact Lion Elizabeth Steves with interest by clicking the action button.
We need Zoom RBTL program managers. We are planning on setting up at several Zoom sessions per week with standard days and times to help people connect to live support. Days and times are open as of now. If you can commit one hour per week please consider helping with your gift of time.
Please click on the action button to start discussing how you can help.
